As I mentioned weeks ago, I'll be at the Uptime Symposium 2010 in New York City next week, and am looking forward to speaking with as many of my industry colleagues as possible over the three days.
I am speaking on Monday about my research into the methods for determining the carbon content of utility-supplied electricity. Upshot: data centers may be over-estimating their carbon footprint. Watch for the presentation deck and white paper here the week of May 24th.
I'll also be part of a panel discussion on Tuesday covering the state of utility and government incentives for efficiency and renewables.
Also happy to have been asked to attend an Executive Session hosted by Jones Lang LaSalle to discuss the carbon impacts of data centers and IT, a dinner for judges of the Uptime Institute Green Enterprise Awards, and a data center stakeholder meeting at the request of NYSERDA.
Busy three days plus, but hope to catch you there!
